[Agent Chun-Li was not going to be amused, at all. Suddenly waking up, sopping wet, was not her idea of a good time. And she couldn't help but shake the feeling that this was not the first time. She drowsily stirred, trying to shake off the heat of the hot spring and blearily make her way to out of the water. What is my life she thinks to herself, looking around the oddly familiar bathhouse for some sign of where she might be. Grumbling, she roots around until she finds a towel and thankfully her qipao had been folded up on a nearby table. On top of a familiar looking book...with her name written on it.

THAT got a low groan...and the detective flopped down to review.]

Ugh. Luceti.

[Not long after that, a Video came up over the network. Now dressed, dried and with her hair done up in proper ox-horns, the Interpol Agent coughed and stood before the camera, arms clasped in front of her.]

Good afternoon everyone. My name is Agent Chun-Li, and for those of you who remember me, hello!

If you don't, then allow me to introduce myself. I'm a police officer from Interpol, and I spent some time here during the last summer it seems. Back home I spend my free time teaching kung-fu and other sorts of wu-shu. I'm originally from Hong-Kong, but I've spent a lot of time travelling the last few years. Keeping busy with work, you know? My memory of being here before is pretty clear now that I've had the chance to go through the journal again, so don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk or you need help.

I'm hoping not too much has changed in town, I can definitely remember this place having some really good food. And...I've gathered that it's getting getting into November so I guess that means it's going to get cold soon? Anyone who's been here through winter mind telling me what I need to be prepared for? I don't usually get outside the cities too much back home.

Anyway, it's nice to be back I suppose. If you see me wandering around town, don't be a stranger, alright? I don't bite.

[Chun-Li bows politely and cuts off the feed. She can be found around town, at the Clothing Shop, Item Shop, various restaurants, the Welcome Center, and the Smithy to collect her bracelets as well.]

But it's just as well, means he's not here and I don't have to find a cell to hold him.

You'd be surprised how many batshit insane people seem to flock to me.

Well, I'd rather treat this as a second vacation than anything resembling work. If it involved work, it'd be a lot more tiresome.

[Isn't that swell. They both get surrounded by people who are completely out of the ordinary.]

You've been here before, right? Calling this hellhole a second vacation might be stretching it.

Yea. It's not perfect, but it means staying in one place instead of hopping from plane to plane hunting for Shadaloo goons. Might seem weird, but really? Sometimes it's nice to be stuck somewhere.

[She really does just have this sunny disposition, Ragna. Till she gets mad anyway]

My father used to say that if you can't change your situation, at least try and make the best of it.

Shadaloo? Really? [That's almost as horrible a name as Bison. Unless the guy seriously is a bison beastkin. But Ragna isn't holding his breath.]

That's fine and all, but now I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do everything to change the situation around here. [Even if he knows better.] I'm through with making the best.

Yea. I don't know about the name, it's pretty ridiculous.

[A sigh]

How long have you been here?

Way too long. [If only he could speak the grimace on his face.] Something like three years.

Then I could see why you've got a chip on your shoulder. Definitely.

Sorry about that. I guess...for me it's better than being home sometime.

[Ragna groans. He could have worded it all a little better. Something he should probably work on.]

Don't get me wrong. This place is about a million times better than going home and facing the music. Always was, always will be. [...] But I guess people are depending on me back home, so I can't sit all fancy in a different world like nothing's wrong.

You think I want to just sit around? [There's a sad note in her voice now. She was kidding around before, but if you want the truth this does bother her.]

If I find a way home, I'm taking it. I've got a job to do. People are depending on me too. But I can't change that right now, no matter how hard I want to.

[He might feel a little bad now.] Yeah... well, I guess you have a point. But I'm still going to take any chance I get to change things around here.

Of course, me too. I mean to find a way home when I can, and I'm not really pleased to be back but having a chance for some peace, even the illusion of it, is nice. I'm a fighter, I don't get much time for that.

A fighter? I thought you were an officer. Don't sit in the back with a gun aimed at any random criminal and yelling orders for surrender?

Why would I do that? There's no fun in that. And I'm a special investigator anyway. Most of the people I deal with ignore gunfire.

Take charge kind of person, huh? [He can respect that.] Let me guess. The people you deal with are fighters like you.

Sort of. I've got license to do what I need to do to bring in Bison.

And yea, actually. One of the angles we're using to get at Bison is a martial arts tournament.

You're what? [A martial arts tournament.]

Bison's hosted several Martial Arts tournaments, putting himself up as the grand-champion. One of the ways we got to him in the past was through that tournament. Myself and some other fighters.

[What?]

[--WHAT.]

Why would he do that if he's supposed to be some big-shot criminal?! That's so damn stupid!

He had some weird idea about collecting strong fighters and turning them into slaves with his powers. It almost worked.

[Until Akuma, anyway]

But he was stopped.

Geez, that sounds like an annoying excuse of a plan. And while we're at it, terrible.

[Ragna is almost amazed that it nearly worked. If Ragna were a criminal, NOT THAT HE IS, he would shoot for a more potent form of crime.]

Least you guys spoiled that for him.

Yea, it was kinda dumb. I mean, the guy that actually showed up and killed him wasn't even in the tournament.

[She doesn't sound too pleased about that]

But he's back.
