feetoffury | Second Brawl: A Little Holiday Cheer!

[Mid-afternoon, after her morning shift at Seventh Heaven and lunch, Chun-Li appears over the journal in a video feed. Smiling, and dressed in a heavy brown varsity jacket over warm looking clothes, she’s outside in the plaza, waving down at the camera.]

Hello everyone. This is Chun-Li,, and I’d like to announce that due to the weather, and Smoker’s continued absence I will be cancelling the self-defense classes at the barracks for the next few days. At least until after Christmas, or till Smoker gets back. It just feels appropriate. However, if you’d still be interested continuing to train or you need a sparring partner I’ll be happy to keep up classes in the Battle Dome. It’s just not a good idea to do too much heavy breathing in the snow like this, particularly the sorts of breathing exercises I've been teaching, so keep that up while you're indoors, or meet me at the usual time in the Dome.

That said, I’m also willing to teach anyone proper firearm usage to anyone who doesn’t already know how to use them. That’ll be in the Battle Dome as well, of course, since we don’t really have a whole lot of 9 millimeter ammo to spare. I’m a licensed instructor back home, and I can teach you how to use anything from a pistol to a shotgun. If you can’t defend yourself with your fists, may as well get a gun and learn how to shoot. I’m a strict teacher, though. Don’t expect to be coddled, and I won’t tolerate horseplay, especially with something like firearms.

[She pauses and looks around, letting out a sharp huff]

Switching gears here, what are some foods that remind you of winter, and the holiday season? It’s been a while since I really had time to myself for the holidays, and I gotta say I could use some comfort food. I know lots of folks have been asking about the holidays and stuff, but I guess I just don’t quite know what to make of it.

[She breaks off, looking away from the camera and turning to look up at the sky, and she looks a little more glum than usual. Thinking of her dad, and mom, and Po-Lin always makes her a bit wistful.]

Always makes me a bit daydreamy. Holidays.

[She turns back, smiles and cuts the feed before heading to the store to pick up stuff to cook. That evening, anyone in Community House 3 would be greeted by the smells of an enormous meal being prepared on the 6th floor. Anyone is welcome to stop by, she’s making desserts, Chinese food exactly as Gen taught her, and she’s got a small radio blasting some Chinese pop-songs throughout the floor. Cook something for the people you live with the elf had said, so...she'd complied happily!]

Huh. Interesting. And what does she do?

[Because that's pretty weird. Not gonna lie]

Oh, a lot of things. But in essence, electricity is her birthright. [And she runs a visible lighting jolt down her body to demonstrate - coming out of her cheek-ports]

[Her eyebrow rises slightly, amused. She can't help but wonder what Linda might look like in green]

Cute. And you fight with her in tandem?

That's what we've been working on for some time, at any rate.

Well she's certainly cute. Is she full grown?

[The dog-loving cop is, unsurprisingly, ignoring Masaomi and watching Linda through the feed]

[Rude. He motions for Linda and then goes to have her sit in his lap, as he pets here (which she seems to accept with the air of a master forcing a servant to massage her) as he answers]

Not quite. At ten or so months old, she's probably as big as she'll get as this species, but she has one more "evolution" to go through.

[Chun-Li's head tilts slightly to the left, her focus returning to Masaomi]

Evolution?

Pokemon both grow and mature normally, but after certain conditions ranging from age to exposure to certain energies, they also change species - "evolve," if you will. She's evolved once, but she has a second one.

Huh. That's...pretty different. Is it predictable?

[Completely derailed her entire thought process with cute animals, nice job Kida.]

Eeeh, depends on the energy source. Linda's first evolution actually had to do with my own internal energy and how well our souls synchronized. Soooo, it's probably more obvious others than ourselves.

[Well that she understands. Chi-flow is an important part of martial arts, and working together in a fight with a partner.]

So there are lots of these...Pokemon around? Are they from your world?

Mmm, no they aren't. There's probably forty or so in Luceti, right? Including the four hatched from eggs and inherited by fellows like me.

And how'd you come by one?

Delivered to me by her father, actually.

[He leans back in his seat, grinning. As he does, it does also expose more scars on his body ~~and the florescent pink wings he has I forgot to note earlier~~, including a really nasty one where he was impaled on his left side. That said, Linda's still in the foreground of the camera, so that might not be noticeble]

[She ignores the 'show' as just another adolescent display. He's got a lot of muscles and scars for a kid his age, but given who she hangs out with at home, or even here, it's nothing new or special.]

Huh. Sounds like you got lucky, Kida-kun. Cute wings though.

[Man he wasn't even showing. He just was stretching. That said, he actually blushes at that, coughing] They're something, alright.

[And he leans forward now lightly pushing Linda aside from the book to get a better look at Chun Li and her wings.

And then he gets electrocuted lightly, with a pikachu hmph]

[Chun-Li's smile widens at his blush. She's standing, one arm on her hip, not really hiding her white wings, streaks of electric blue interspersed throughout the patterning, like bolts of lightning.

She doesn't blush at his inspection, instead turning to the side a bit and letting him see her enormous leg muscles and strong arms in full view. Smirking, she doesn't comment about Linda or his wings further.]

Hoooo-wha, yes, I know how to call them. [His right eyelid twitches but otherwise, he doesn't react to much to the fact he was just electrocuted]

What's that, Kida-kun?

That you're very attractive, Chun Li-san.

[Chun-Li snorts out a little laugh at that. ~~Such a try-hard~~]

Thank you, Kida-kun. You're a sweet kid.

I'll take it. [With a crooked smile which can't seem to decide if it's a smirk or not]

I'm sure you will.

[She breaks into a rather...youthful giggle.]

See, you know me already. [But okay, he's pushing this topic way too much anyway. He just laughs too, to go with her]
