First Brawl: Round Two, FIGHT! [Action/Video]

[Agent Chun-Li was not going to be amused, at all. Suddenly waking up, sopping wet, was not her idea of a good time. And she couldn't help but shake the feeling that this was not the first time. She drowsily stirred, trying to shake off the heat of the hot spring and blearily make her way to out of the water. What is my life she thinks to herself, looking around the oddly familiar bathhouse for some sign of where she might be. Grumbling, she roots around until she finds a towel and thankfully her qipao had been folded up on a nearby table. On top of a familiar looking book...with her name written on it.

THAT got a low groan...and the detective flopped down to review.]

Ugh. Luceti.

[Not long after that, a Video came up over the network. Now dressed, dried and with her hair done up in proper ox-horns, the Interpol Agent coughed and stood before the camera, arms clasped in front of her.]

Good afternoon everyone. My name is Agent Chun-Li, and for those of you who remember me, hello!

If you don't, then allow me to introduce myself. I'm a police officer from Interpol, and I spent some time here during the last summer it seems. Back home I spend my free time teaching kung-fu and other sorts of wu-shu. I'm originally from Hong-Kong, but I've spent a lot of time travelling the last few years. Keeping busy with work, you know? My memory of being here before is pretty clear now that I've had the chance to go through the journal again, so don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk or you need help.

I'm hoping not too much has changed in town, I can definitely remember this place having some really good food. And...I've gathered that it's getting getting into November so I guess that means it's going to get cold soon? Anyone who's been here through winter mind telling me what I need to be prepared for? I don't usually get outside the cities too much back home.

Anyway, it's nice to be back I suppose. If you see me wandering around town, don't be a stranger, alright? I don't bite.

[Chun-Li bows politely and cuts off the feed. She can be found around town, at the Clothing Shop, Item Shop, various restaurants, the Welcome Center, and the Smithy to collect her bracelets as well.]

Maybe it's a bit of both.

[Though she knows some people have made their lives here, she can't imagine not wanting to go home. But she also can't imagine missing the people she's met here.]

I've been well. [She avoids so much as a word about the recent Draft, which would give that statement away as a bald-faced lie.]

More importantly, now that you're back, do you have everything you need?

[Voice]

I'm glad to hear it.

As for me? Unless the layout of town's changed a lot in 6 months, I'm sure I'll be alright. Anything I should know about?

[Voice]

[That's a loaded question, and a complicated one.]

We've found more information about the Malnosso, and things like that. [Ami stays cautiously vague over the journals.] I'll tell you more if you'd like, later.

[Voice]

Please do. Sometime later. There isn't any real rush unless there's real danger.

[A concerned pause]

Which I hope there isn't?

[Voice]

[geniustheveil]

No; for the time being, right now, things are quiet. ['Recovering' would be more precise. Now that the Draft is over, everyone is resting and healing.]

[Voice]

That's good. From what Marco and a few others have said, it's been a rough few months.

[Her voice, at least, is empathetic]

I'm sorry I wasn't around to help.

[Voice]

[She'd been hoping Chun-Li wouldn't have to hear about that. But since she has...]

It's alright. Everyone would understand it wasn't something you could help.

I'd hope they wouldn't hold it against me at least.

[She laughs merrily, but there's definitely an undercurrent of sympathy.]

Look, I won't pry, but if there's something I can do to help, let me know, alright? Remember, I'm a police officer too.

I'll remember. As a police officer, you'll be interested in keeping Luceti safe, too. Even outside times the Malnosso do things.

It's a good motto. It makes me think of a friend of mine from home. [Mako would make a great cop, really. She has a very firm sense of justice and defending the weak.]

That's what police are supposed to do.

Is your friend in the police force too?

[Voice]

[Ami shakes her head, though the gesture won't be seen.]

She owns a flower shop. It was her dream for a long time.

[Voice]

So she realized her dream? That's even better.

[Voice]

Mm. My friends and I were fortunate back home. [Four years of peace, and peace again after a quick battle, and those normal dreams waiting for them.]

[Voice]

[feetoffury]

It sounds like. Say, didn't you become a doctor?

[Voice]

[geniustheveil]

That's right. I still work at the clinic here, too. Did you need something?

[Voice]

[feetoffury]

No, I'm fine.

[And Luke would kill you if you were wandering around Ami]

I was just curious. You became a doctor, as your dream.

[Voice]

Mm. You achieved a dream of your own, too, didn't you? As a police officer?

[Voice]

[feetoffury]

Um...actually, being a police officer isn't my dream. It's something I feel strongly about, but it's for different reasons. More...a mission that I have to do.

[Voice]

[geniustheveil]

Is there something else that's your dream you'd like to pursue?

[She'd been telling the truth that becoming a doctor was hers - but it had taken awhile to find her own reasons for that, and to stop doing it for other people's reasons instead.]

[Voice]

Yes, I'd like to open a martial arts school. But I've got work to do first.

[Voice]

[This might sound a bit bold, but...]

I'm not sure that's the case. Somewhere like this, learning combat skills is very important for everyone. I think you would be doing something good if you began to teach. You could find somewhere for your school.
