First Brawl: Round Two, FIGHT! [Action/Video]

[Agent Chun-Li was not going to be amused, at all. Suddenly waking up, sopping wet, was not her idea of a good time. And she couldn't help but shake the feeling that this was not the first time. She drowsily stirred, trying to shake off the heat of the hot spring and blearily make her way to out of the water. What is my life she thinks to herself, looking around the oddly familiar bathhouse for some sign of where she might be. Grumbling, she roots around until she finds a towel and thankfully her qipao had been folded up on a nearby table. On top of a familiar looking book...with her name written on it.

THAT got a low groan...and the detective flopped down to review.]

Ugh. Luceti.

[Not long after that, a Video came up over the network. Now dressed, dried and with her hair done up in proper ox-horns, the Interpol Agent coughed and stood before the camera, arms clasped in front of her.]

Good afternoon everyone. My name is Agent Chun-Li, and for those of you who remember me, hello!

If you don't, then allow me to introduce myself. I'm a police officer from Interpol, and I spent some time here during the last summer it seems. Back home I spend my free time teaching kung-fu and other sorts of wu-shu. I'm originally from Hong-Kong, but I've spent a lot of time travelling the last few years. Keeping busy with work, you know? My memory of being here before is pretty clear now that I've had the chance to go through the journal again, so don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk or you need help.

I'm hoping not too much has changed in town, I can definitely remember this place having some really good food. And...I've gathered that it's getting getting into November so I guess that means it's going to get cold soon? Anyone who's been here through winter mind telling me what I need to be prepared for? I don't usually get outside the cities too much back home.

Anyway, it's nice to be back I suppose. If you see me wandering around town, don't be a stranger, alright? I don't bite.

[Chun-Li bows politely and cuts off the feed. She can be found around town, at the Clothing Shop, Item Shop, various restaurants, the Welcome Center, and the Smithy to collect her bracelets as well.]

[Pinches the bridge between his brow.] Aye, but don't ask me to figure out numbers on that.

He has killed bystanders since he defected from us, but there are other pirates who've killed more. Hell, I wouldn't even place strong bets on saying the marines -- well, that the world government hasn't at least.

And those marines? They're not worth the title.

[fierybluebird]

[Shrugs.] Plenty of them care a lot more about killing pirates than protecting people, eh.

Even the ones that don't would be all too happy to kill me when I'm just trying to protect my family.

[feetoffury]

That's not right either.

Cops. Should. Not. Kill.

[She sounds serious. Hard.]

[fierybluebird]

[Just arches an eyebrow a little sardonically.]

Tell that to them. So far as they're concerned, their entire job is killing pirates. Like we're rats and they're exterminators, eh?

[feetoffury]

And that, Marco, is why I am glad that I was taught to be a good cop.

[Chun-Li's face turns cold, and her tone is icy.]

And that is why I resent when people compare Interpol to your world's marines.

[fierybluebird]

Ah? I don't think I've ever compared you to the marines, have I?

[feetoffury]

You haven't. Others have.

[fierybluebird]

What? Who?

[feetoffury]

Other people I met here before. Nobody I've seen since.

[fierybluebird]

People from my world though? Most of us are still here, eh.

[feetoffury]

No, not people from your world. People who know Smoker.

[fierybluebird]

[Just sort of a blank stare and shrugs.] I'll take your word on it. I pretty much leave Ace to deal with the White Hunter.

[feetoffury]

Well, it's not like he's out to get you guys really.

[fierybluebird]

He was at Marineford, but he didn't hurt any of my crew. [Shrug.] That's all I can say for him. If he keeps his distance I'll keep mine. Ace and him are logia types anyway so Ace wants to handle him and I let him.

[feetoffury]

Logia types? Something to do with those weird fruits, yea?

[fierybluebird]

Right. I'm a zoan, or animal type. Logia are elements like Ace's fire. And paramecia is everything else, like Pops' earthquakes.

[feetoffury]

Ah, OK.

[She shrugs]

Makes sense, I guess. So Smoker is Logia, too. I'm guessing that's the strongest?

[fierybluebird]

Strongest... [Shakes his head.] Devil fruits aren't really like that. They can all be strong.

Take a look at Pops. He could have destroyed the world with his, but he was always very careful because it has far-reaching consequences. That's why Blackbeard having it scares me.

Logia are rare. All three admirals had a logia, and believe me, they're strong. But Sengoku, the old fleet admiral, he had a mythic zoan like me. Those are the rarest, and we have some things that act a little like logia or paramecia, but still... "strong?" It's all in how you use it. Take Garp, Ace's grandfather, he doesn't have a devil fruit at all and he still kicked my ass.

[feetoffury]

And how'd he manage that?

[Who beat you up, weirdo?]

[fierybluebird]

[Rubs his jaw.]

Knocked me out of the sky while I was trying to rescue Ace. Garp is... very strong.

That's how my world is. Even the world's strongest like Pops still had things they couldn't do, eh? Things they needed nakama for.

[feetoffury]

Sounds like. How'd he manage that, though?

[She laughs]

That's how every world is. I can't stop Shadaloo alone, you know.

[fierybluebird]

Aye, fair enough, eh.

He did it with haki. Garp the Fist, as he's known. [Mimes a punch to his own jaw.] Pow. No more cheating by being a phoenix. I'd hold more of a grudge, but he was just as mad as the rest of us when Akainu killed Ace and he actually wound up holding off Blackbeard. [Rolls his shoulders in a shrug.] It was a rough fight.

[feetoffury]

I can imagine. I remember what Haki was, and what it's like.

[She rolls her shoulders]

Seems like Garp has his head on straight.

[fierybluebird]

Even I have to get a lot stronger I suppose. [Distant look before he shakes his head.] You'd be the first to say that about him. He's completely crazy, don't get me wrong, eh. If he wanted Ace freed, he didn't have to punch me out of the air.

Sakazuki just went after Ace by... using the lowest tricks possible other than what Blackbeard does. That's all. It's... complicated. [A discussion for a different day.]
