First Brawl: Round Two, FIGHT! [Action/Video]

[Agent Chun-Li was not going to be amused, at all. Suddenly waking up, sopping wet, was not her idea of a good time. And she couldn't help but shake the feeling that this was not the first time. She drowsily stirred, trying to shake off the heat of the hot spring and blearily make her way to out of the water. What is my life she thinks to herself, looking around the oddly familiar bathhouse for some sign of where she might be. Grumbling, she roots around until she finds a towel and thankfully her qipao had been folded up on a nearby table. On top of a familiar looking book...with her name written on it.

THAT got a low groan...and the detective flopped down to review.]

Ugh. Luceti.

[Not long after that, a Video came up over the network. Now dressed, dried and with her hair done up in proper ox-horns, the Interpol Agent coughed and stood before the camera, arms clasped in front of her.]

Good afternoon everyone. My name is Agent Chun-Li, and for those of you who remember me, hello!

If you don't, then allow me to introduce myself. I'm a police officer from Interpol, and I spent some time here during the last summer it seems. Back home I spend my free time teaching kung-fu and other sorts of wu-shu. I'm originally from Hong-Kong, but I've spent a lot of time travelling the last few years. Keeping busy with work, you know? My memory of being here before is pretty clear now that I've had the chance to go through the journal again, so don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk or you need help.

I'm hoping not too much has changed in town, I can definitely remember this place having some really good food. And...I've gathered that it's getting getting into November so I guess that means it's going to get cold soon? Anyone who's been here through winter mind telling me what I need to be prepared for? I don't usually get outside the cities too much back home.

Anyway, it's nice to be back I suppose. If you see me wandering around town, don't be a stranger, alright? I don't bite.

[Chun-Li bows politely and cuts off the feed. She can be found around town, at the Clothing Shop, Item Shop, various restaurants, the Welcome Center, and the Smithy to collect her bracelets as well.]

Oh, aye. I forgot about that. [Laughs.] Okay, then even if it's just you and me it's a start.

Do you know any other cooks?

Sanji, but I want to give him a break. Or maybe he'd be interested too. [Shrug. It doesn't help that Marco is still nervous about saying hi to Sanji now that he knows about his relationship with Robin and might want to kick him into a wall...] Ran Fan said she'd cook with me though and I could probably ask Ikki and her family. And Grune and Norma's family even if she's not back by then, they could use something to cheer them up too.

Well that sounds like quite a crowd. I'm sure we'll have no trouble at all. That American holiday, Thanksgiving, it's coming up soon too. So there's that.

Thanks what? American...

[Finger snap.] Like Buffy? Ah... Los Angeles?

Los Angeles is a city in America. Dunno about Buffy though.

She's an American. [Nods his head.]

What's the holiday? Is it a feast?

[feetoffury]

Yea, that's what it is. Lots of different kinds of food, get together with friends and family and share a big dinner. Supposed to be really nice.

[fierybluebird]

Around this time of year? I think Buffy started to mention it when I was talking about Foodvalten.

What kind of foods, maybe we can make it a theme?

[feetoffury]

I have no idea, I'm not American. I just know it's around this time of year, Marco.

[fierybluebird]

Okay, I'll ask someone about it, eh. Sounds like fun though. [He'd probably get a bigger kick out of bacchanal feasts if someone told him, but it's all good. FEAST.]

Yea. Ken says its a good time. Never been in the States around this time of year though.

[fierybluebird]

It's really big and diverse, I'm told.

[... Sorry Chun-Li, he really is oblivious to what America is like.]

That is the point of it. Way bigger than where I'm from.

Heh, I can't really imagine, eh. Everything's all islands or ocean where I'm from. Did you get to travel a lot though?

[feetoffury]

Yea, all the time. For work.

[She shrugs and eats a bit more]

Shadaloo's all over the world.

[fierybluebird]

That doesn't sound too bad then.

But I guess it makes being trapped here even harder, eh.

It's work. So it's paperwork, tracking down dangerous criminals...fighting...all that stuff? Honestly, it stops being fun after a while.

Staying in one place longer than a week. Now that is a vacation.

[fierybluebird]

And yet you keep at it.

Hah, good. And if you get bored or lonely, you know where to find me, eh?

[feetoffury]

It's for my father. I have to.

[She nods back]

I do. Need to find a place to stay anyway.

[fierybluebird]

[Softens his expression.] Of course.

Ah, I'd offer you a place with us, but we're pretty loud. And I practically killed Ace when he let Shanks stay for a month.

Our building in general is pretty open though. We just cleared out Shanks apartment since he went home.

[feetoffury]

Oh, I'm not sure your girlfriend would like you living with an old flame.

[She smirks]

But I'll consider this one. Only person I knew in my old one was that old samurai guy, Goroh. But he left before I did.

[fierybluebird]

[Small blush.]

Aye that too.

Take a look, eh? Although we do get a little rowdy. But the flag's still on the roof with Pops' memorial, so the people here are pretty good about it.

[feetoffury]

Heh, that's fine. You're no worse than Ken and Ryu.

[She nods]

Well, I wouldn't worry about Pop's memorial. I'd beat the tar out of anyone who tried taking it down for you.

[fierybluebird]

[Grins ear to ear.] You might have a tough time beating me to it, but thank you.

Most people seem wise enough not to bother. The only one who came close was an idiot named Lupin, but I think I sufficiently deterred him.

Actually it's reassuring. Back home, someone would try to take it down. Just because it's there, eh. [And that is why treasure has to be protected.]
